Johor Bahru City Council had received a visit from Changzhou Youth Activity Centre, People’s Republic of China, last Thursday at Menara MBJB. This visit was to enhance friendly cooperation between Johor Bahru and Changzhou while exchanging knowledge, culture and history of both cities.
The Changzhou delegation had consisted of 33 students of Changzhou Youth Choir from Changzhou Youth Activity Centre, accompanied by 3 teachers and headed by Mr. Wang Jun, Deputy Director of Changzhou International Exchange Centre. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Bong Seng Heng, Councillor of MBJB (Stulang), alongside Mr. Ng Yew Aik, Madam Chan San San, Miss Teow Chia Ling, Mr. You Jeat Xiong, Mr. Chong See Ming, Madam Ng Lied Ying, dan Sr. Dr. Ngoh Wei Ching.
The delegation was briefed about the background and history of Johor Bahru and Johor Bahru City Council and visited the Johor Bahru Integrated Operations Control Centre (JBIOCC), Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC) Johor Bahru and Foon Yew 2 Primary School.
The bilateral relationship between Johor Bahru City Council and Changzhou Municipal People’s Government was formed through a ‘Sister Cities’ understanding in 2016 to cooperate in areas of economy, culture, education, technology and more.
